Bio
Patrick McCormack is a Principal Geotechnical Engineer at PSM with over 12 years of experience in consulting engineering. Patrick’s experience includes working on numerous major civil, mining and tunnelling projects throughout Australia, New Zealand and Ireland. His experience includes the design and analysis of primary and permanent tunnel support structures, retaining structures, foundations, large open pit mines, embankments, flood bunds and tailings dams.
OTHER SPECIAL INTERESTS
Patrick has worked as lead designer for both the nozzle permanent lining structures at three Sydney Metro underground stations and the primary and permanent lining of Rozelle Interchange M4-Anzac Bridge. He was also heavily involved in the design of the permanent lining of Sydney Metro’s Victoria Cross Station. He is currently lead designer for Roma Street Station Permanent lining which forms part of Brisbane’s Cross River Rail Project.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Patrick completed his MSc in 2010 at Imperial College London. He has published and presented a technical paper relating to canopy tubes and early age shotcrete. He is on the NER and is a RPEQ in both civil and structural engineering.
