Bio
Robert Bertuzzi is a Principal Geotechnical Engineer of Pells Sullivan Meynink Pty Ltd, with over 30 years’ experience in his field. Between 2007 and 2016, Robert was Managing Director at PSM.
Robert’s area of practice has been in mining and tunnelling and has worked on over 100 projects from feasibility design through to planning , implementation and remedial works across Australia, New Zealand , United Kingdom, Asia and Africa. has worked on over 70 mining and tunnelling projects from feasibility design through to planning, implementation and remedial work.

Robert is a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AUSIMM), Institute of Engineers, Australian Geomechanics Society (AGS), and Australasian Tunnelling Society (ATS).
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
In 2017 Robert was awarded a PhD from the UNSW for his thesis “Rock mass properties for tunnelling”. In addition to consulting, Robert teaches the subject, Rock engineering for underground structures, and Rock bolting for slopes, at the University of New South Wales Master of Engineering Science course, and has done so since 1999.
Robert assisted NSW WorkCover in preparing its 2007 Code of Practice, AustRoad in its Tunnelling Guidelines (2010), and Queensland’s TMR in its draft tunnelling guidelines (2015-2016).
